Yess it's like a new series (originally TMI was only gonna be 3 books and then 3 books on Simon but then they expanded it to 6 books... MC in first 3 books is Clary and secondary protagonist is Jace and Simon
In Fallen Angels onwards MCs are Clary Jace Simon and secondary protagonists are Isabelle Alec and Magnus

But I'm telling you not to start with Angels because it isn't that good..

it's honestly my fav series and it has practically everything you look for in a YA fantasy
-adventure
-romance
-a lot of sarcastic side characters
- mythical creatures
- found family (my personal fav)/ friendship
- the world-building is *chef's kiss*
- the writing isn't that great in TMI but it certainly improves as the series progresses
- and um a lot of other stuff too which I'm not gonna write coz i'm lazy
