I agree. It sort of ruined the storyline for me. But the book is still excellent

The book was a satisfactory one(a star wars rip off set in middle earth ),but the movie was terrible!Arya didn't even look like an elf princess.Horrible casting,awful cinematography,and a terrible watch.
One of the worst book to film jobs ever
When I was younger, I saw the movie and thought the whole dragon egg thing was awesome. That is why when I saw the book years later and recognized it, I could not resist reading it. I vaguely remembered the movie, and absolutely love the books. After that I had to re-watch the film and it was awful. I'm not sure if I thought it was so amazing before simply because of my age, or if the book expectations affected my more recent viewings. As far as being compared to the books, it sucks.
