Could you be more specific, please? Both taking place in (or near) Tokyo is not a shared universe. And there is no obvious character connection I can see from the blurbs.

Certainly! The second book takes places 5 years after the first. The two main characters from Book 1 are now working as a teacher/student exchange coordinator respectively, and they become involved with the MC of Book 2, an exchange student without a host family. The MC of Book 2 is invited to attend the school where the MC of Book 1 is now teaching, and the latter becomes her mentor.
