Stephen (stephenT) I make hella good BBQ. You can just pay for the dinner, you don't have to do that five minutes on the buttrub machine.

Stephen (stephenT) Critics, they're everywhere.

Abigail (42stitches) | 150 comments Heh, sounds like it'd bea hit with S/M croud. That's assuming they like BBQ...What a strange target market...Gotta specialize if you want to stay open though. ;)

I'm almost surprised to hear about so many Dunkin Donuts still being open. All but one of them closed down in my hometown. Seems kind of odd.

Stephen (stephenT) Actually it's not so much a joke as the fact that many BBQ's are made from the butt, which is actually a shoulder portion. The joke was using it in the name, Steve's ButtRub BBQ. The ButtRub machine wouldn't hurt anyone, just be embarrassing, which is why after five minutes you get a free meal.

Paula Dean would do it!

Cosmic Sher (sherart) | 2234 comments I would give up Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts if I could have Cafe Du Monde instead. I only had them once but it was Heaven!

I buy Starbucks beans and make the coffee at home and it's really good. It tastes different than the coffee instore, which for some reason always has a sour taste to me. Plus they don't have nondairy creamer in the store, which I must have. Regular dairy doesn't do it for me.

I've tried the Via (hot) and it's fine. It's good for instant coffee. What I don't like is the Via iced coffee.

Jammies Hmmm, I am not a Starbuck's fan because they over-roast (burn, to some people) their beans, and I prefer a mellower flavor.

I noticed yesterday Starbucks has a new product - a tiny, 1.5 inch wide fruit pie. For $1.50. Would you buy a 1.5" fruit pie for $1.50? Seems steep to me. That's about one bite.

message 62: by janine (new)

janine | 7709 comments Still, the price is appropriate. 15 cents would not have been enough.

No, 15 cents would be too cheap. But I wouldn't pay $1.50. I might pay $.60. No more.

message 64: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) You'll pay the price on the tag or you'll get nothing at Starbux.

Cheri | 795 comments They do an egg, Gouda cheese, bacon sandwich for about $3.50 that is real nice. I get a mint hot tea that comes with a big tea bag so I can refill with hot water a few times makes a great $5.00 breakfast at the drive thru window.

Oh! Last week at the Starbucks drive thru everyone was buying breakfast for the person behind them in the queue. The server said it had been going on for hours. It made me smile.

Courtney | 241 comments Yes, I love Starbucks. Eventhough they are ridiculously expensive, I always get polite, friendly service with a smile. I love that place. Plus, I like my coffee on the "stand up and walk on its own" side.
