The pacing is rather slow in the beginning. Also, I normally enjoy the author's style of writing, but I've never been a fan of diary entries. From a historical context, I can get into diary entries, but I must admit I struggled to stay engaged. I believe the pacing is picking up closer to chapter 5.
My desire to read a dystopian fiction novel was answered, yet the imagery is pretty haunting. The narrator's descriptions of her surroundings and the people were difficult to read. 😔

Hm. I have to see if this one of the 20+ books I am reading. I know it was slow as heck, and think it did pick up around chapter 5 but I left it to the wayside for the moment. Is this the one with the main character goes into white and a black man's body, also his children are telepathic and some are stronger than others where they can read or manipulate other people thoughts?

Here are a few questions to reflect on and discuss after reading chapters 1-2.
Please feel free to add any commentary or insight you have relating to the chapters. The discussion questions are just to get us dialoguing.
1.) What was your favorite part of the chapters you read? What was your least favorite?
2.) Which scene(s) stuck with you the most?
