Actually LI helped CJ reconnect the dome. But what happened to him is not mentioned after that....Did he die in the thermobaric bomb explosion?

Li dies in the explosion for sure. And the author do not care about him. Only the americans and an innocent Chinese child get out.
There is an undertone of racism in this book.
