I didn't realize they were making a third movie. Is David and Gillian playing in it?

Tracy wrote: "No Dustin, I haven't. Are they XFile'ish? Or do they have conspiracy theories in them?"

They both share a story element with Strangers :-)

Well then I will have to read them.

Holly | 71 comments The House of Thunder and The Key to Midnight were both good. I really need to read The Servants of Twilight.

Barbara | 486 comments Tracy......Strangers is one of his older books and one of my favorites.....there are a lot of characters to meet but once you have.....it speeds up in suspense and I found it to be a very exciting book!!!! ;D

Tracy | 528 comments Yeah Barbara, I'm getting the "many characters" thing. Every time a chapter starts I have to review in my head who he is talking about. I remember them by their afflictions or whatever they have.

I feel that Dean Koontz did a much better job with the large cast of characters in Strangers than in 77 Shadow Street.

Rachel | 94 comments got my copy today-can't wait to start it!

Tracy | 528 comments I'm about finished with Strangers. It always takes me linger to read Koontz because I read it so slowly. I have to savor the story.

Tracy | 528 comments Oh, while at work yesterday, I had a customer that I had to accommodate with an issue they had and when I asked his name I about fell out of my chair. His name was something Moon and all I could think was "oh crap" for I have never talked to anyone with the Moon name and we all know Koontz doesn't believe in consequences.

I think the word you are looking for is "coincidences", but we all know what you meant :-)

Finished earlier this week. I still think Strangers is a beautiful story of humanity.

I know the backstory on all the characters can seem a bit much. I have seen a lot of comments and reviews mentioning that they feel it was too wordy in parts, which I understand. However, I feel it is really good to get to know these characters so well. We see the human connection and how these strangers unite. :-) I am very happy with the story.

Stupid phone

Tracy | 528 comments I'm almost finished with it and I'm really enjoying it.

Tracy | 528 comments Ta-da I finished and liked it very much. I think my favorite character is Dom, oh and Parker. Parker added a lot of humor to the story, for me.

Topic? I detest this book. It's in my lower 10% of Koontz novels and yet I've still read it twice. Fool me once, well..."

Yes, I saw your review of Strangers and I can understand why you don't like the book.

We actually do have a thread for The X-Files. It's in the Movies & TV Folder. I will make a quick comment there to make it active on the Group Home Page :-)

Barbara | 486 comments I'm sorry Eve I like Strangers but we all have different tastes and that is what's so cool here.....DK has a couple of books I don't care for....I never finished False Memory.....It made me really unhappy reading that book.....I bet you have books of his you do like!! ;D

Rachel | 94 comments Sadly, I've decided to give up on this book-been trying to get through it for a while but there are too many great Dean books to force myself to stick with one that isn't for me.
(Besides I just ordered Watchers from the bookstore and can't wait to re-read it-it's been years :)

Well, Strangers is a long book, so I can understand. I used an audiobook to help me through it and it still took quite a while. I'm surprised you don't own a copy of Watchers already :-)

I had a copy many years ago but I usually give my books away when I'm done reading them. (i don't usually re-read)
I guess I should have held onto it :)

Linda | 1 comments Strangers was the second book I read after Watchers, and I must say I loved them both but I have re-read Strangers many times! My favorite! Until I read other favorites lol.
