Lorraine | 28 comments So why did Will leave it so long to take revenge? How did he get into the flat the first time to kill Saul. Did Saul let him in?, but he used the hammer from the tool drawer in the flat, so was he already in there? Why was Saul at the flat, he was suppoae to be at a conference. I thought the police investigation was all over the place, why wasn't the mobile data checked, they would have seen that Neve had been in the flat before she got the message from Mabel.

The second one though I am sure Neve said she thought he took the key when she had left her bag unattended in a cafe/shop and they had been watching for the right mom..."

Maureen Anderson | 3 comments Will only materialised in Neve's life when he thought her marriage was in trouble. But he obviously was obsessed with her since university and kept an eye on her. Even his Ex wife said he consistently blamed Neve for his failings which meant he was watching and waiting. The key was stolen from the backbag being snatched so he had it in his possession from the very start. Neves key was a copy. Then all that was left to do was insert himself into Neves life and the reunion was a perfect opportunity.
As for the police work, Hitching was right to hang about Neve but surely he had his suspicions. Wouldn't a good detective keep at it. And what of the envelop with Neve's blood on it from the staple cut? Why didn't they peruse it. I wonder if that's the new case they got going. Looking into Neve. Need a warrant to look at mobile data and I guess all evidence against Neve was circumstantial at best. Hence why I wonder what Hitchings was doing asking whether Neve wanted to say anything, otherwise why go to the bother telling her he had a new case?
