History/family: When she was two years old her mother disappeared whilst out borrowing in the nearby village. Kerille grew up in the field of her birth, occasionally travelling to nearby woods and local village with with her father, who raised her himself, with regular visits to her godfather, a highly educated Borrower who taught her to read and write. She was discovered by fairies whilst foraging in her clover field, who brought her to the academy.
Personality: Incredibly reserved and shy, Kerille prefers her solitude with books as company. As a Borrower, she was taught to hide herself away, and she has terrible self-esteem and social anxiety. She never had any friends her age apart from her pet field mouse, Seedly. She is both scared and envious of fairies for having wings, as they remind her of the birds that attack her.
