Dress style: Solaris does not care very much about what she wears, but she does not enjoy being attention-grabbing with her clothes. She prefers dull colors, and clothes that are either slightly baggy or a normal t-shirt. She'll take anything, though, as long as it's not revealing or over-the-top.

Solaris is not the actual child of Valkyrie - he was adopted. Valkyrie had fallen in love with Reylja, another Asgardian. Because of this, Valkyrie had gotten in a bit of … trouble with Odin, as Valkyriors aren’t exactly supposed to fall in love, but since she was one of his best fighters an exception was made.
Solaris isn’t sure of his origins - his parents never told him. He’s had his doubts of being a Midgardian but his parents have always reassured him and told him he was an Asgardian. But knowing his parents, he knows that they can sometimes hide the truth because they believe it’s best for him.
Reylja and Valkyrie both loved him, but they’ve always wanted him to be more than he was. Valkyrie wanted him to join the Valkyrior, believing that it was his destiny to follow his mother’s path. But, on top of the complicated gender thing (if he’s genderfluid and the Valkyrior are for girls only, would he even be allowed in the first place? Not that anyone in Asgard really understood his gender identity) he was never one for physical activity. And all that responsibility and pressure to excel … nope, definitely not for him. But Valkyrie couldn’t understand. It was all she had ever wanted, so why did Solaris not want it? As for Reylja, she could never understand why he’d spend his time ‘locked away’ in his lab, creating robots and machines and figuring out inventions. She couldn’t understand why he didn’t want to talk with people. But what hurt her the most is how much he distanced himself from even them, his own parents.
All of this caused them to fight more and more frequently before Solaris just completely isolated himself from them, not being able to take the pressure and the fighting.
But the more he isolated himself the more he became the weirdo of Asgard, and after a year, he couldn’t take it anymore.
He left to the school hoping to find more peace here. After all it is a place for people like him, children of … more-than-people. And there he could start over. Not be noticed. Maybe be more free, maybe not get caught up in his expectations for himself and other people’s expectations.

Solaris longs for freedom, which is sadly ironic. He wants to be free, to do what he wants, to be himself, but he is so fast to be stuck in people's expectations of him. He longs for freedom but he is stuck, constantly, by his own expectations and the ones of the people around him. He dreams of freedom locked away in his mental cage. He is quite indecisive during social situations and is not good and communicating with people.
He is scared of not being good enough. His mother has always wanted him to be the perfect fighter, and he always needs his creations to be perfect. He treats himself like he treats his creations - he needs to be perfect, at all times. He cannot fail. He is scared of failure and everything it brings. And yet he had such difficulty talking to people, even though he wants his image to be perfect. He hates himself for never being able to reach his own impossible standards.
He doesn't like talking to people or doing physical things- he knows he'll fail and it'll embarrass him, and he prefers the company of machines and inventions and his intellect. Machines, to him either work or don't. Humans are so much more complicated.
He is incredibly smart, academically. He excels in mathematics and science and loves the pursuit of knowledge. He can have a tendency to overwork himself. He can stay up all night multiple times in a row if what he's working on interests him enough. But he hates it when someone tells him what to do. He will overwork himself only if he wants to or when he wants to, because if he doesn't, then that would mean he's doing something for someone, and that would mean he had.pressure to do said thing perfectly for said person.
He loves thinking of new inventions and new solutions to practical things.
All he wants is to be left alone with his mine and his passion, where he won't have to talk and embarrass himself and no longer be perfect.
But.
He wants something deep inside. He wants a smile, someone to ask him how he feels instead of treat him as weird. He wants someone to understand, it's as simple as that. But he knows that'll never happen.
