Let’s write a story!
Conifeir looked down at Ayla, his gray eyes glistening in the golden light of the forest. A mischievous teased the sides of his lips but he remained silent, denying her an answer.
(DANG IT GUYS WE KEEP ON SAYING AYLA ajk;lsdakj;ldj;kl i just remembered its aLya T_T)
Alya huffed. "You really do like making things difficult, don't you?"
"Maybe if you shut up for once you'd get some answers. Anyways, I should probably explain a little bit about Briar's Haven. You may think you've been on the run for a few hours, but you've actually been in the haven for four days. The haven works different for those with human blood."
Alya huffed. "You really do like making things difficult, don't you?"

I huffed. "I thought you said I was a fairy."Conifeir chuckled, mischief radiating off of his like warmth from the sun. "I never confirmed you were fairy."
"Nor did you confirm I was fully human. You have human blood, but you aren't human."
Alya huffed, "So what, my insides are human and my outsides are fairy? That doesn't make any sense, where are my wings?"
Conifeir dramatically slapped his forehead and sighed. "You're a half blood, Alya! Really, you are a slow one! Your mother was a fairy that fell for a human."
Alya smirked. "So my parents had "forbidden love"? This is getting interesting...tell me more."
Alya smirked. "So my parents had "forbidden love"? This is getting interesting...tell me more."
Conifeir groaned, "It was the most cheesiest love story of all. Moving on, we need you to settle our conflict. Are you skilled in any weaponry? Oh wait, of course you're not! You're just a worthless human."
"I'm fighting this Briar person now? What do you think I am, a soldier? And also, if my mother is royalty, then aren't I a princess? Either way, I have no reason to believe you. My parents are alive, sadly, and not fairies."
Conifeir dramatically rolled his eyes. "Your real parents are dead, half-blood. Gosh you really do have the mind of a human." Alya furrowed her brow."That is no way to treat your queen." she said sarcastically.
"You are not queen yet! You are still merely princess." Conifeir grumbled. "Oh, and don't expect me to treat you like royalty, either. Not until you can fight Briar and take back your throne."
Alya's amber eyes lit up and a wicked grin filled her face. "When I'm queen I'll make sure to humiliate you."
"I thought you didn't believe in this "fairy tale"?" Conifeir cocked his head, bemused.
"Not yet. Not until you show me something actually proves my life is a lie and my parents are somehow fakes even though my "doppelganger parents" and I look far too alike for my liking."

Conifeir's lips teased at a smile. "All that information will come to you, princess. I have told you nothing but the truth."Alya groaned her displeasure. "If you aren't going to give me a straight answer, can you at least tell me how to kill Briar?"
Conifeir grinned. "I thought you would never ask."
(the end of chapter 1?)
"What am I supposed to be looking at? A rock?" Alya said as she walked carefully around the towering mound of stone, eyeing it suspiciously.
"It's not just any rock! In fact, it's not even a rock at all."
"Mhm. It looks like a rock to me."
"What am I supposed to be looking at? A rock?" Alya said as she walked carefully around the towering mound of stone, eyeing it suspiciously.
"It's not just any rock! In fact, it's not even a rock at all."
"Mhm. It looks like a rock to me."
Alya kicked the large rock. To her surprise, Conifeir was right. A huge, stone gray snake uncoiled and whipped around to face her. A foul hiss escaped it.Alya screamed, and jumped back. Conifeir chuckled, flashing his white teeth. "WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH THAT?!" she exclaimed. He handed her a sword with a blue-gray iron hilt.
"Kill it."
The snake hissed as it peered at her, gray scales glinting in the light. Alya held the sword in her hand unsteadily and backed away, crying out, "W-what...is that thing?"
"Worry not what is, princess. Worry that it will kill you if you don't kill it first." Conifeir said, clearly enjoying himself.
As if waiting for him to say that, the snake lurched toward Alya. She screamed and swung her sword wildly, not managing a single hit on the stone monster.
The snake whirled around and chased Alya for at least ten minutes. Conifeir laughed uncontrollably the whole time.He eventually tired of this nonsense and drew his own sword with a matching hilt. "Alright, princess. Since you have proved you are useless with a sword, your lesson is finished.'' He pushed Alya out of his way and shoved his sword through the roof of the snake's mouth.
Alya scrambled away from the corpse, gasping. She huffed and straightened up, "Give me a dagger and you'll wish you were dead."
Conifeir threw his head back and laughed. "You?! A dagger?" He smiled devilishly. "As you wish princess." he said, tossing her a dagger. He readied himself in a battle state, and lifted his sword. "Let's see what you can do."
Alya gritted her teeth and took a stance. He came hurtling towards her, sword aimed for her heart. Alya gasped and ducked, swiftly moving the dagger toward his thigh. Conifeir let out a yelp of pain and shrunk into his tiny fairy form, clutching his leg.
"You idiot!" he shrieked. "I wasn't actually going to do anything to you!"Alya cackled with glee. "Maybe you won't underestimate me next time." Conifier fluttered over to a flat patch of land and expanded to human size. Alya leans in to examine her damage. But the thing she saw shocked her more.
His blood was a deep, shiny purple.
Conifeir grumbled, "Well done, Alya. Guess you are of some use. But look! Whenever metal that's not silver touches my blood it turns purple and it gets contaminated."Alya scoffed, "Ah now who's the wimp?"
"Fairies have horrible immune systems. It's not my fault," Conifeir huffed.
"You're right. Some are just born weak."
"You're right. Some are just born weak."
Conifeir's glare could have cut through the toughest metal. "I could die now, Alya."His response caught her off guard. "I...I um,-" Alya stammered. "I'm sorry, I guess." she mumbled. Conifeir's facial expression softened. Silently, he pulled out a silvery potion and poured a few drops on the wound. It, miraculously, healed in a minute.

Conifeir replied gravely, "Moonberry serum. Even though it heals, it always comes with a price."
"What's the price?"
"I don't know, last time it was no food for my wife. But the more you use, the more horrible the price is. Luckily you just gave me a scratch, but we have yet to see what the price is."

"You have a wife?! Just how old are you?" Alya looked away, repulsed.
"Aw, why so disgusted? You jealous, human?" Conifier's grim expression dropped for a moment, replaced by a mischievous grin.
(Sorry for the confusion earlier, we are replied at the same time.)Conifeir set the serum beside him and grinned. "You have a dagger, I have a serum. Give me your best shot, your highness."
Alya threw herself at him, not daring to let him doubt her abilities again. Conifeir simply sat, clearly giving up. His face looked so innocent. She stopped herself, and realized what she felt for Conifeir...
Alya shook her head, what the heck was wrong with her? Conifeir was married.Conifeir smirked, "Go on."
Alya shook her head again, and stepped back, "Never mind that."
Conifeir grinned, watching as Alya paced around, turning her dagger in her hands."You know, princess...maybe I haven't been completley honest with you."
Alya veered her eyes towards him, but didn't dare look up. She was afraid he'd see her blushing.
Conifeir gave a smile, "I'm not married, I am only dating. I am forbidden to marry anyone because...I am royalty too."
Alya gasped, rendered speechless. Conifeir smirked, moving his tongue to the roof of his mouth in such a way that made her insides heat up. She wasn't used to feeling this way. Her vow almost permitted her from having these sorts of feelings, especially towards an opposing royal. But now...(I'd just like to say I am SO HAPPY that I get the credit for the main character's name)
Alya shook this feeling off. What the heck was wrong with her? As much as she liked Conifeir, she had more important things to do.(Haha, you should be! It's a great name :))
Alya felt hopeful. "So, can you only marry royals?" she asked, not daring to let her peculiar feelings show.Conifeir nodded, but remained silent. He start to examine Alya, walking around her in a circle. His gray eyes glistened gold under the light of the afternoon sun.
"A royal, huh..." Alya stated, trying not to look phased by that revelation. She noticed Conifier begin to check her up and her mouth tensed. This...was this what she wanted? No. She had priorities. "Well...I think I should be off now. By any chance...you wouldn't happen know the whereabouts of my brother, would you? Willus? Could you at least tell me that?"
"Willus? I don't keep track of mortals, dear. But I might make an exception for you, you being a princess and all. I'll see what I an find."
She was never one for flights of fancy or faerie tales, but Alya liked the sound of that word. Princess. She was a princess.

"What does this have to do with us all dying? And if I am a fairy, where are my wings?" Ayla said, crossing her arms.
