Leviathan Wakes by James S.A. Corey

This will be premiering on Sy-Fy this year with the title The Expanse. It should be a pretty fast paced, character driven space opera. The story has much of the same vibe as Battlestar Galactica, which was also on Sy-Fy. I really enjoyed reading this!

I have planned to read this one at some point for my challenge this year. I got the first three books in the series after a friend sold me on them and I'm really pumped to read them!

The good thing is that the first one is a stand-alone novel even though it is part of a series. No cliffhanger. I don't know about the rest of the books.
