rachael traynor (rachaeltraynor) | 4 comments Hey guys! This thread is for books that you would recommend to read in the autumn, books that you read in the past during autumn time, books that take place during autumn, books that have autumnal themes, books you plan on reading next autumn etc. x will also be open to hearing about books that PARTIALLY take place during autumn.

To break the ice, Im going to make the first recommendation. Check out "Wuthering Heights" by Emily Brontë. Wow that chick has a way with words!

As per the rules of the group, please check with Emma before picking a character to role-play, as she likes to pick first

Sorry I thought the function of the group was to discuss books and all things literature. Didn't know I had to ask permission.. Maybe this isn't the group for me..

If you get the chance, check out The Complete Tales and Poems of Edgar Allen Poe! Complete Stories and Poems of Edgar Allen Poe

*Enter Edgar Allen Poe, influential American writer*

During the whole of a dull, dark, and soundless day in the autumn of the year, when the clouds hung oppressively low in the heavens, I had been passing alone, on horseback, through a singularly dreary tract of country; and at length found myself, as the shades of the evening drew on, within view of the melancholy House of Usher.
