Here are two really great books about K-pop that are not only fun to read but also talk about changing the K-pop industry to be more inclusive and kind to it's trainees and idols
I'll Be the One
K-pop Confidential
I'll Be the One

K-pop Confidential

Yeah, I didn't really know much about the genre at first either but my friend really likes it and then I started listening to Blackpink I started liking it. But she also told me about all the extreme diets the K-pop stars had to go on, especially the girls. There was this one K-pop star, and her manager said she had to lose 15 pounds in a week so she stoped eating and only sucked on ice cubes for an entire week. And she was saying how every night she went to sleep wondering if she would wake up again because she was so so hungry. A lot of the K-pop stars have to go on diets like that and it's seems really unfair that they need to be so skinny when they would be beautiful either ways
