Perfect; I was meaning to start this series in April myself. I've read it once before but I forgot most of it.
Perfect I was gonna read it before it came out on Netflix but since I did not love SoC I've been putting it off. I started it and I didn't love it but I wanted to give it another chance soon so I guess now is as good time as any😊
This book completely played with my feelings, it is absolutely beautifully written. But I also think the plot isnt the greatest. I was more invested in the characters than i was in the story because it drags on a bit. Its still a great book though!
Unpopular opinion but I actually preferred Shadow and Bone to Six of Crows as I feel it flowed better and was more fast paced, keeping me interested the whole time.
I started reading Shadow and Bone a while back, but it just didn't grip me very much, so I DNFed it. Then again, I was on a reading slump, so that could contribute.I'll probably try to pick it up again.
I loved this book in every way possible and i’m so happy that i decided to give the Grishaverse a chance. i hope every new reader loves it just as much !
Ok so currently reading siege and storm and it’s not as good as Shadow and Bone. But it’s still AMAZING
Looking forward to starting this series! I'll be reading it on audiobook. Definitely excited to start the series before the Netflix show.
I loved this book so much and im about to order the second and third one!! Im more invested in the characters than the story though.
I'm reading this rn and I am kinda enjoying it. I'm not that far into it but I think I like the writing. I do have to say that I have no idea where I am at in the book so the updates will not be accurate, so please keep that in mind (you too, sterre)
I finished this a while back and it was a rollercoaster experience for me, from yelling at the characters and blushing at the Darkling to complete shock at the ending. I can’t wait for the show :D
I just finished the trilogy for this series and all i can say is y'all. Don't stop after the first! loved loved it!!!!
I already finished the series last month. I gave them all 3 stars. only learned after finishing the whole series that Alina is 17 :D
Not me thinking Alina was 18 ✋ She really had to deal with the darkling , a 1000 year old being at 17?! Ummm

SHE'S 17!?
I started this one in the 1st I think. I'm a few chapters in (on audio) and so far I'm intrigued. I haven't picked up this series before, so the trailer for the Netflix show is a good motivator too ;)
i just finished it! i was surprised, but i actually really liked this!my biggest issue is that some of the characters have really bland templates (mainly Alina and Mal...) but i overall enjoyed it!!
i'm also interested to see what you guys think about the romance because i have mixed feelings. (view spoiler)
this is my full review of Shadow and Bone if you're interested: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Hello, I'm a few chapters in and I am liking it so far! Wouldn't say it's a favourite yet but its enjoyable
Currently on Page 54 and loving it so far. (I’m super happy my prep landed TBR for the entire grishaverse novels lined up with the group BOTM.) It took at least a good five years in order for a friend to convince me to start it (the upcoming show was the push I needed) and I am kicking myself (figuratively) for waiting so long.
I'm about 65% done now. I'm reading on audio, and I just finished chapter 14. Wow that chapter gave me some whiplash! Overall I'm really liking this book, and excited to continue with the series and then pick up the Six of Crows duology (all before I watch the Netflix series! don't know how well that'll go). I feel like once I get 50% in a book, then I read it really quickly because the pace has picked up and I want to know what happens next. I'm at that point with this book and one other, so I keep going back and forth between them!
I finished this one over the weekend. I really enjoyed it! I didn't hear about this series before the Netflix series. I'm really looking forward to reading the rest in the series.
Read the book a couple of months ago... Found it to be just okay. There are so many YA Fantasy books that sound exactly like this :/ Maybe the author felt some pressure to conform to some of the more misogynistic trends in storytelling that were present in books published in that era, because her female characters from Six of Crows are like x1000 times better in comparison to Alina. :(
(My full review)

I have mixed feelings on this book. The plot kinda sucked at times but it was also beautiful at times and THE WRITING OHMYGOSH BEAUTIFUL
