To be a series on Goodreads, books need to have more than a common theme -- like characters in common, an overarching storyline, a shared universe, etc. What makes this a series?

Although the book can be ready as a standalone, the authors website lists them as part of the series

The author selling them as a series does not make them a series on Goodreads. They would need to have characters in common, an overarching storyline, a shared universe, etc.
