Amanda | 11 comments Hello,

After 6 drafts, my 97k YA Fantasy novel is complete (hopefully!) and I’m looking for more sets of eyes before I decide which route to take in publishing. Is it good enough to query? Should I hire an editor and self-publish? Do I need another draft? Should I lock it in a drawer and never speak of it again? Hopefully some honest feedback will help me answer those questions!

Let me know your pricing and preferred method of contact. A synopsis of the novel is below.

Thanks!

Synopsis:
The country of Trea has been united for a century, and there is much the new monarchy has to uncover. For Willow, the first inheriting princess of Trea, learning about her country's history and varied people is difficult. With few historical records and no contact with their northern neighbors, the young country is struggling to cinch together.

Everything changes when Marcal, the isolationist country in the north, sends a desperate plea for help--and strangely enough, begs a marriage alliance between their Crown Prince and Willow's little sister. Intrigued by the foreign prince and his mysterious culture, Willow agrees to accompany him back home.

After rebels ambush Princess Willow’s traveling party, she discovers that the forests of Trea and the mountains of Marcal are filled with more secrets than she could have imagined. Rebels, spies, magical nomads—and a kind boy caught up in all of their plotting—pull her in wild and dangerous directions until she is forced to choose a side.

Can Willow defend the ancient traditions of her country or will she decide to forge new ones with Trea's secretive northern neighbor?

A thoughtful tale that struggles with the definitions of loyalty and leadership, “The Story of Trea Part I: The Land of the Willows” explores the depths of history both forgotten and deliberately obscured.

Beta Reading Services 101 | 3 comments Hello Amanda,

Congratulations, first of all on finishing your sixth draft!

Before you send it off for beta-reading, first ask yourself, what exactly would you require out of the beta-reader? Are there any things you'd want specifically looked after such as: character development, world building, plot inconsistencies, pacing, etc...

Shoot me an email at betareadingservices101@gmail.com and I'll send you a sample of what you can expect working with me.

Since your novel is only 97k, I can get it done for you for only $150.00 USD and have it back to you within a 14-days.
