I finally finished Americanah last night. Took me almost a month because I took so many breaks. I really liked it though, especially the characters with all their flaws and I learned a lot. This will be hard book to review >__<
What books would you like to discuss in separate threads?
Purple Hibiscus?
Americanah?
Foreign Gods, Inc.?
others?

I liked reading(and sharing) opinions on what everyone was/is reading in this thread, but discussions about all the little details/meanings just aren't really for me..

I was slightly worried after being disapointed with foreign gods, inc. that i wouldn't like this one either, but so far it's much better!

*WARNING* The post DOES CONTAIN SPOILERS but if you want a spoiler-free version, just follow the link to my Goodreads review (in the blog post, near the top). I enjoyed Baba Segi more than I thought I would, and I'm very glad that I decided to read it. I recommend it to any of you who haven't yet read it, or who want another Adrican bol to read!

That's too bad. I was looking forward to learning more about this 'Adrican bol'. ;)

the ending wasn't what I had hoped for though, but the rest of it was perfection.
also in case anyone is interested I 'reviewed' both foreign gods inc & purple hibiscus.
