Separating authors

Hello!

Our author, Vanessa noticed that if you click on her author name at Goodreads on the book's page, it lists a lot of other books by other Vanessa Kings. https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...


Is it possible to separate her out? Or sort this out? I read something just last week about the answer being putting an extra space in the author name/URL but that you need a GR librarian to do this.

I added a space to the author on her book so she is Vanessa_ _King:

She can claim this profile at the bottom by clicking: Is this you? Let us know.

Remember to add the two spaces when manually adding books. When books have been added to the wrong profile you can request in this group to have the book moved to the right profile.

I share a name with another author and it looks like this is why I can't edit my own author profile (even though I have Goodreads author status). Is there a way to sort this out so I can change my bio?

If you're trying to take the extra space out of your name, you can't and you shouldn't. It is there to differentiate you from the other Laura.

If it's a different issue, please specify.

I haven't tried to take the extra space out - but when I edit my own author bio, it tells me that I can't because I'm not the author.
