Elizabeth Meadows (lizziefaye) | 424 comments Post your progress here for your series books read in April. How many series books did you read this month? Did you finish any series? Did you start any series?

Donna | 95 comments My FIRST PRIORITY in 2021 is to stay current with 21 series in which the latest book was yet to be read at the end of 2020 OR the next book was to be released in 2021.

I have not read any books in April from my submitted list toward this challenge.

However, there are two other series not on the list in which I am now current and could add as alternate series to this challenge awaiting the next books to be published latter this year. The titles are:

A Rogue's Company (Sparks and Bainbridge Mystery #3) by Allison Montclair (Jun 8, 2021)

Danger at the Cove (An Island Sisters Mystery #2) by Hannah Dennison (Aug 17, 2021)

In addition, I have read the first or second book in these following series and am awaiting the publication dates for the next book, so I am current in them as well:

Miss Brickett's Investigations & Inquiries by T. A. Willberg
Marion Lane and the Deadly Rose (#2, 2022)

Odessa Jones Mysteries by Valerie Wilson Wesley
Title (#2) Date TBA

Farm to Table Mysteries by Amanda Flower
Title (#2) Date TBA

Gwendy's Button Box Trilogy by Richard Chizmar/Stephen King
Gwendy's Final Task (#3) Date TBA (authors are working on the book now)

All of the above first or prior books in the series were read between February and April of this year.

Melinda | 45 comments My April was productive. I finished 9 series, all just needed 1 more book to be read in them. But I started 2 more series. So now I need to read those to catch up this year or subtract from my year end finish total. A little twist I gave myself as punishment for starting new series. My total to date is 11 series finished, 4 new ones started.

Donna | 95 comments One main reason that I have fallen behind on this challenge (staying current with 21 series) had been the availability of the books from the library. Here are the titles that I now have in house, or are on order awaiting process now, or will be published/released in May:

Delicates (Sheets #2) by Brenna Thummler
Murder at Wedgefield Manor (Jane Wunderly #2) by Erica Ruth Neubauer
The Lady Has a Past (Burning Cove #5) by Amanda Quick
Willa of Dark Hollow (Willa #2) by Robert Beatty

I have this book on hand (due back to library from 2020 publication):
Dying in a Winter Wonderland (Year-round Christmas #5) by Vickie Delaney

2021 publications due back to the library soon:
Creatures of Charm and Hunger (Diabolists Library #3) by Molly Tanzer
The Russian Cage (Gunnie Rose #3) by Charlaine Harris

So that it a total of seven I should be able to finish soon for this challenge.

Elizabeth Meadows (lizziefaye) | 424 comments Everyone is doing so great in this challenge!! Thanks to everyone who has posted what they are reading and thank you also to Ro (Cozy Reads) for posting a channel about this challenge on her Killing Time with Cozies Discord group. If you want to join that group and aren't in it, let us know and we can post a link here.
I just went back to my March progress report and added the names of the series that I finished or caught up with.

For April, the only series from my #seriousaboutseries challenge TBR that I finished was Home to Hickory Hollow by Beverly Lewis which also doubled as picks for #amishinapril.
I read lots of other series books including 5 books in the Amish Candy Shop Mysteries by Amanda Flower.

I didn't realize that you were participating in the #yearinmitford readalong. Are you enjoying them?

Hi, Elizabeth. In my mind I am participating, but have only read the first book 'At Home in Mitford'. I really liked it and want to move on in the series, just haven't got there yet. I bought a used copy of the second book, 'A Light in the Window', so it is part of 'my shelf' physical books. I hope to catch up during the summer, because I know I am going to love the books. I am so impressed with Father Timothy's dedication to the people in his town, much to his detriment at times, but such a dear person.

I am loving the Mitford series, they are so charming! I have especially enjoyed the narrator of the audiobooks.
I'm a bit behind on the readathon, I haven't quite finished April's book yet, so I still need to watch the group discussion once I finish. I've mostly kept up so far, though.
