True-- and hospitals are telling people not to come in if they think they've got the flu, but only for complications. I would hope professors are taking that into consideration and not just insisting that if you even think you're sick, you have to bring in a note saying you went to the health center.

You see? Bun and I are on the same page. The kids these days have no sense of technique.

Cosmic Sher (sherart) | 2234 comments Angie, I used to get strep regularly too. Now, whenever I start getting that weird, icky feeling in my throat (if you've had strep, you know what that is), I gargle at least 2x a day with 1/2 c. orange juice, 1 tsp ground cayenne pepper, and 1 shot whiskey (or other hard liquor). Seriously, it works every time now. But you have to jump on it quick and do the gargle thing for a few days.

One of the things my ND has suggested is that drinking hot tea or other hot drinks during the day helps to keep the virus from staying in your mouth & sinuses. I figure any excuse to drink more coffee/tea is a great one. ;)

My daughter is getting better, but now I'm feeling it. Darnit. Prolly cause I ran out of Vit D3 a few days ago. :(
