It's even better: we've actually covered 4 of the novels, with one more coming:
City We Became (April 2020)
Network Effect (June 2020)
Mexican Gothic (September 2020)
Piranesi (November 2020)
Black Sun (April 2021)
The only one we missed is The Midnight Bargain.

Ah, I thought we'd done that (I'd read it), but it was on page 2 of the bookshelf.
I'm really pleased by this hit rate; hopefully we'll do as well on the Hugo shortlist, and next year.
Heyyyy, two Canadians on the novel ballot this year!
The hit rate is great, it means I won't be scrambling as much to get reading done this spring. I do think the hit rate is as high as it is because the Nebulas are so damn predictable. And we've added another year of 6/6 women/non-male writers.

It would be very interesting if we were able to see how votes spread and whether there are blocs voting together in different categories. A pleasant surprise is that pro-mags are back - I really liked a story from Asimov's, it was unusual enough. A novelette from F&SF, available on author's site was so-so.

In 2020-21 this group had monthly reads for: Kim Stanley Robinson, Jeremy Szal, M.R. Carey, Adrian Tchaikovsky, K.M Szpara
Definitely way less than half of the available slots.

The group has covered 3 of the novels (with one more upcoming), which is a pretty good hit-rate. But only one of the novellas.
