Finished this one yesterday.Gave it a 3.5/4
The writing was great. The story was nothing new if you were poor and minority in the 70's and early 80's. Hello that was me.
I was a little surprised on the views of the girls mother Mary Lou. But both mothers were something else.
My copy arrived as well (just a day or two ago) I'm reading a pile of books for a challenge or two and then I'm hoping to get to this one!
Just finished. Enjoyed the book. I loved the twist of Gee but was left with wanting more.
