Part 1 Discussion

Hi! Hopefully you all have finished Part 1 of One of Us Is Lying and are ready to discuss. You can talk about anything related to the book. I’d love to hear some theories and any questions you have!

My theory right now is that the guy who put them in detention (I forgot his name) did it. Or maybe multiple teachers teamed up. I don’t think Cooper, Addy, Bronwyn, or Nate did it.

Hey Leah! It could definitely be the teachers. I didn't even think of that! I have a slightly different theory. I am suspicious of Nate, even though he is most likely the red herring, I want to know why he knew about Simon's allergy. Were they friends in the past? Everyone knows he handles drugs, so killing Simon and being accused in the gossip about it didn't really hurt him. Do you think it hurt his reputation? Did Nate just send out the Tumblr and gossip column about him for cover to just attack the other three?

That’s an interesting theory. I think if it were one of the 4 characters, it would be Cooper. I don’t think Addy is capable of murder, Bronwyn would be too concerned with her future, and I think that Nate is a good guy deep down.
