Not gonna lie. I added this to my TBR all those years ago simply because the cover was hawt. I don't think I even read the synopsis. So there it stayed, since 2017, nice to look at but never read. And I'm SO GLAD that April picked this series for this task! I loved this. I just wanted to crawl up onto Truman's lap and give him some snuggles. And I can't wait to see what happens with the rest of the Whiskeys clan in the next books. 😁

Suzanne | 514 comments I agree about the cover. And I really think it captures the tenderness he feels towards that baby.

MountainKat | 31598 comments Here is your last task!

Task 25 - LAST TASK - Read a book with a 9 in the initial publication date.

Books selected for this task need to have a 9 in the initial publication date - date or year, do not convert month to a number. For example, an initial publication date of November 19, 2020 or May 15, 2019 would work, but September 5, 2020 would not. Make sure you use the initial publication date for this task. If there is a date listed at the top of the editions page use it, otherwise I will be looking for the earliest dated English language edition regardless of format. Please include the initial publication date in your completion posts.

There is no need to post completion of this task in the Q&A thread, I will be checking all the team threads at the end of the challenge. 😊

How it fits:  First published Sept. 2, 2009 (stated in above link)
Pages:  210

Review:  This was not a bad retelling of The Snow Queen with a bit of a twist.  I didn't LOVE it but it was very fairytale - like.

Task 25 - LAST TASK - Read a book with a 9 in the initial publication date.

Review:  Jane Delight returns to her Amish town after a divorce.  When someone dies in her sister's cupcake shop, Jane helps investigate.  The mystery seemed a little pat, but the cover is cute, and the story wasn't bad.  I especially liked the upstairs neighbors.

Suzanne | 514 comments I'm not sure if everyone is reading for this last task but there's my contribution. :)

Task 25 - LAST TASK - Read a book with a 9 in the initial publication date.

Book: our Forever Starts tonight
Our Forever Starts Tonight (Our Forevers, #1) by Rebel Hart
Pages: 285
Read: 11 May
Rating: 2
How it qualifies: First published March 9th 2021

It is one of those books where you have to read the rest of the series to see if anything else will happen. But it wasn’t good enough to read the rest.
