All right so the best that I can remember about this book is a it's a series or part of a series, and in this particular book there's a group of men, I'm not sure if they're supernatural, I can't remember that well, but they are rescuing a woman who is supernatural off of an island, a private island, and from what I remember the person that is going to rescue her, is going to go undercover as a person that is a member of a secret club, a secret organization, to basically buy her. Or something like that. I do remember that he is horribly disfigured and there's something seriously wrong with him mentally. I remember them saying that he was the most unlikely to be found searching for this girl. Like an unlikely hero. The book was approximately read somewhere between 2004 to 2010. I'm thinking closer more to 2010 so that means that the book itself has to be within the 2000 range as for year published or whatever I'm thinking that maybe the group was either vampires or werewolves. As in the rescuers. And I'm not sure but I think they were also an MC or a private agency. again this is so vague lol. But I do remember that it was human trafficking or pardon me, female trafficking. And the mail was definitely problematic. Considered crazy amongst his people and I think he was in love with this girl.

yes it is also a romance. it's driving me nuts.
I keep having dreams about it. like, in my dream, I see myself reading the book, and then I see the characters talking and then leaving the man on the island, so that he can infiltrate the society.. then I "see" his scar, and I wake up. so this book is haunting me lol.
