Crystal Allen | 7 comments I am in the final stages of preparing my novel for self-publishing. I decided to register my copyright because you get an ISBN number for the price of the copyright registration ($65) whereas buying a single one is more expensive. Of course I need 2 ISBNs if I'm going to publish online, so I've decided to buy the 10-pack, since it's the best deal.

My question is, if I buy the 10-pack and apply one of those ISBNs to my print book, and then the US Copyright Office grants me an ISBN, would this mean my book would then have 2 ISBN numbers? As a librarian, I'm sure you know that could cause problems with librarians and book store owners. Could one of you, who understands ISBN numbers better than I, please advise?
Many thanks,
