MountainKat | 31602 comments Here is your next task! (Sorry I missed you Laks!)

Task 10 - 90. Each member reads a book published in sequential months, i.e. June, July, August and September 2019. Teams decide which months. No pass for this task.

Books selected for this task need to be published in sequential months. The months can cross over from the end of one year to the beginning of the next. You will be using the initial publication date for this task. If there is a date at the top of the editions page, use it. Otherwise I will be looking for the earliest dated English language edition regardless of format for the qualification. Please include the selected dates in your completion posts.

Jeydon Marshall | 372 comments I usually try to post here once I post the completion in the other thread but just finished my book right before bed last night so I forgot, sorry Roger! But I did get it posted :)

Yay, time for some mysteries! Luckily I have quite a few lined up to read this month already. I’ll start with Murder on the Rocks. Only 266 pages but then I can start another right after I finish it if we still need more pages. I think Michaele has us covered with 600+ pages though so we shouldn’t have to double up on books for this task 😂

Book: Tracefinder: Changes by Kaje Harper

How book qualified: (MPG) - Tagged Mystery by 3 persons.
Date Completed: 4/12

Review : I had read the first book in this series last year and somehow missed getting this one at that time.

It was good going back to Brian and Nick; to see how they are coping together and Brian putting his Finding ability to use. As expected there are plenty of complications ahead for them; the cops and Damon. And I was also glad to see Bry sort of eradicated. Kaje has done a good job unravelling all the threads to finally get a sanctuary for Brian.

A good series with all the good things- action, romance, memorable MCs and paranormal stuff.

Task: Read over 1000 pages in books with Mystery or Suspense as MPG
Murder on the Rocks (Jordan Jenner Mysteries, #1) by J.S. Strange
Book: Murder on the Rocks
Pages: 266
Qualification: MPG Tagged as Mystery
Date Read: Apr 13, 2021
Rating: 4 Stars
Review: This was quite an enjoyable mystery that had me fairly stumped on who the murderer was. I had multiple theories at different points but things kept spinning in different directions. Not much of a romance plot line but the character is openly gay, he’s just not focusing on romance during the timeline of this book. He does have someone who is interested in having a relationship with him but he’s too focused on his current case to focus on any type of relationship.
