I can place Eli Easton in that spot!

I would personally prefer Magic Emporium as I don’t read a ton of sports series but if everyone else would prefer Scoring Chances, I could give it a go.

Jeydon Marshall | 372 comments Another List option as I know Michaele doesn’t read a ton of Paranormal but Small Shifters would be okay with me too

M/M Books Featuring Creative Types

message 153: by Jeydon (new)

Jeydon Marshall | 372 comments I believe we’ve got it down to our final two decisions.

82. Each teammate reads a different book from the same series.

Magic Emporium OR Scoring Chances

I also think THIRDS was mentioned for this by Roger? I would be down with that as I’m a good way through the series. It’s also available on KU.

93. As a team, pick a Romance List from GR Listopia with less than 100 books on it, each teammate reads a book from that list. No pass for this task.

Small Shifters OR M/M Books Featuring Creative Types

I’ll go with what you three seem to be deciding on and only include my vote if needed to break a tie or anything.

I did not expect it to be this good! Loved the MCs , the large family and how they tackled all the issues. The writing style is really good.

This was headed to be a 4 star- book for me, but then it had two of my pet peeves (view spoiler) that said, I still liked it enough that I would read the next book in the series.

This - " I am leaving you for your own good" trope is seen in lots of romance books. Sometimes it suits the story. Often its just to create a tension ..

Anything that has to do with “I’m making this terrible decision for your own good” drives me insane as well.

How about we go with Magic Emporium for the series (this way we don’t have to worry about where anyone is in the series at any point)

Then M/M Books Featuring Creative Types for the list with under 100 books since I know we’ve already selected one list that was paranormal based?

Trying to balance the paranormal/fantasy vs regular contemporary so no one has to read a lot of anything they don’t personally consider a favorite. It’s always possible these ones won’t even come up for us though.

Let me know if this is good for you guys then we can consider ourselves prepared for any task that comes our way 😃

Thank you guys! I sometimes listen to audiobooks as well but my mind can’t handle multi-tasking while listening to them or I feel like I don’t actually recall the story later 😂

But yeah, I definitely appreciate having a balance between being competitive and making sure we’re all still having fun. I think we made a great decision by discussing the tasks ahead of time as some teams are going to have to wait until everyone has decided when they do come up.

Awesome! I was fairly sure there were a few on there. I use it for a lot of books as well, especially when it’s a new to me author. I was kind of surprised by the amount of M/M available on there but it makes it well worth it.

Rooming Together (The Boys of Talbert Hall #1) by Quinn Ward

Review: I find that when it comes to books featuring age play, I either love it or hate it. I quite enjoyed this one however. There's not much that happens throughout this book and it's low angst, low drama, allowing for more of a focus on Chase and Jayden exploring the kink of age play together.

I liked the concept of both Chase and Jayden being new to the kink instead of the usual where a Daddy is searching for his "perfect boy" to take care of. Overall this was an incredibly sweet read and I think Jayden's commitment to learning about the kink and becoming the best caregiver possible for Ash is what made it all the more enjoyable for me.

MountainKat | 31602 comments Here is your next task!

Task 3 - 16. Read a minimum of 750 pages in books tagged/shelved as children.

Books selected for this task need to be tagged with 'child', 'children' or other variations of the word. Combo tags will be allowed in context, 'no kids please' would not work. Please include a link to the top shelves page of your qualifying tag along with the number of tags and the page top shelves page number. This information makes it easier for me to find if the link is broken or the tag moves - and both often happen! Remember to use the first edition Kindle page count!

I love this book. not as much as TLSH. The Kid is so serious for his age. bear becomes the Kid guardian, when his mother takes off with her current boyfriend abandoning Bear and the Kid. it is clear from the letter she leaves that she did not get a good education. Otter move back to this small california town and Bear and otter just mesh. both Bear's and Otter's nickname come about because of what a young at the time kid could say, bear called Oliver "Otter" when Oliver's father was Bear's mother's boyfriend. and The Kid couldn't say Derrick when The Kid was 2 it came out "Berrik" which was shortened to "Bear". the nickname happened when Bear was a high school freshmen and stuck. Bear and otter just fall into a relationship even though Otter is not 'gay'. not completely straight but open to what happens.
