TART Challenge - Round 3 - Rainbow Dash (2)

I sent him a quick message just to check in that everything’s alright! I hate bugging people but I know notifications mostly aren’t working and VERY delayed when they do. I’ve been getting notified for messages at least so hopefully that helps :)

Review: by all rights I should have hated this book because it is a society manners novel, but the magic and the mystery saved it for me. Julian is a private person who after his fiance, who he was to be a consort of, is murdered. is forced by society's rules to hold a Courtship with him being the prize won by one of the suitors, including all of his lands, titles, and fortune. Alex is a consulting Mage for the Agency which investigate the murder and is the national law enforcement agency for UK in the universe for this story. He become one of the Suitors and wins it, but the next day the courtship was tossed out because his consortship to his fiance was brought about by magical coercion. They remain boyfriends are trying to make it work without Julian having to become a consort but just everyday partners in life. Loved Horace Alex's construction of a bird who carries message between Alex and Julian.

Task 16 - 29. Read over 750 pages in books about the same profession, teams decide which profession.
Professions such as LEO, athlete or musician are fine. Just don't try to pass off a rancher and a chef as both being in the food industry - they are just too far apart. Please include the selected profession in your completion posts. Remember to let me know how you know your book qualifies, be it title, precis, tags or lists - I need to know where to look to confirm your books. Don't forget to use the first edition Kindle page count!
ETA: Private investigators, private security, bodyguards, etc are not considered law enforcement. Just letting you know in advance. 😊

It’s one of my favorites but it’s definitely a commitment. 10 books per month and you hunt for certain items/actions/locations/etc. in the books you read that fit the categories. Each hunt item is worth a different number of points.

Review: Hmmm this is the a good start on the series and I Find I want to read more. Dex is quite a character and the team he and Sloane are in is populated with interesting Characters. the action and mystery are well written, but the twist was telegraphed at least to me. lets just say the interconnection of many of the characters are very interesting.

I should definitely try it for May! Or am I too late to sign up?

I think my team is actually looking for an alternate right now! It’s for a team share position though, so you’d only be in charge of reading 5 books per month.

Michaele...check out the above link. Scavenger hunt started in April. You can see the rules of the game and Lisa is the moderator (she is in the team at first position for Amazing race right now) . You can post a msg requesting to play and see whether you have an opening somewhere. 🙂

Review : Enjoyed this story, set in a lovely place called Rainbow Cove. The combo of an older cop and an "used to be-troublemaker" chef is good. An interesting series to follow.

Review: I received a copy of this book from Gay Romance Reviews and I have chosen to leave an honest review.
I loved this book that had so many different feeling and interesting characters. Talk about age gap an over 1000 year old dragon and a 20 year old mage. Both have a fire affinity, and artistic tendacies. Bear with glass and Gus with metal. imagine Gus's surprise when he discovers Bear is his mate.
Someone is killing paranormals in Asheville. They are friends with the team investigating these death. Bear get kidnapped to be bait to draw Gus out of his bar and lair. Cassius is a magic vampire and he drained the killed paranormals of their magic.
The magic Emporium shows up when A paranormal has a dire need for a magic item it has. In this case Gus needs a ball of meteoric iron to save himself and Bear from Cassius.
The romance start with a fake relationship to get his meddling over protective brother off his back about not meeting people after said brother and Bear's twin find their mates. We all know that in this trope the reomance becomes real very fast.

Review: I fell in love with these characters in Chance's Book (Book 1 of the series) but getting to read Johnnie's POV was fantastic. This is the sweetest found family series ever that features boys with terrible and abusive pasts who just want to find a small piece of happiness.
I absolutely love what Chance and the boys are doing with the manor, turning it into a safe place for guys like them who have been discarded by their own families for being gay. Henry and Johnnie getting together warmed my heart, despite them having to go through all kinds of hell when Henry's past is brought to the surface.
I highly reccomend this series but you MUST read it in order so you know the background on the main characters in this.
