The Amazing Race Team Challenge - Round 3 - Tracking/Q&A/Announcements

Thanks!

No, use the earliest dated Kindle edition. Even if it is before a Kindle was ever released. I think the publishers chose to use that date showing it wasn't changed from the initial release? 🤷🏻♀️ Either way, this is what I am looking for:
**Remember to use the first edition Kindle page count only! If your page count comes from a Kindle edition published on the initial publication date on the editions page, it will count. If your page count comes from a Kindle edition labeled '1st edition', it will count. If your page count comes from the earliest dated English language Kindle edition, it will count. I am looking for one of those three things when confirming your books! As long the page count you list is correct, I will accept any link to the book. Ebook page count will be acceptable if no Kindle page count available. The acceptability of other page counts will be made on an individual basis.**

Is there a minimum page count for books in this challenge ?"
These are the book requirements for this challenge:
There is a 150 page minimum for books, rereads and audios ok. Books may only be used once per player during the challenge. Players may read the same book for a task unless otherwise specified. Books do not have to be romance, but must be fiction.

Task 5 - 11. Read 4 books in continuing series, one that has not been completely published
Does this mean we can series any book in the series as long as at least 1 still to come .
So can read bk 1 , even though bk 2,3,4 out but not bk 5

Task 2 - Completion Post
Snakes and Ladders have completed Task 2 here:
Task 2

I am not familiar with that set of books, but it does appear there is a common element linking them, so I will allow it.

Yes, as long as it is clearly not set in the US.

or silhou..."
The mechanical would not work, needs to be a "real" animal. I put real in quotes because a unicorn or other mythical animals would work. A silhouette is tricker because it needs to represent the actual animal and I am hesitant to say that all would work - so I will leave that as a maybe. Though for your example, the birds are not all silhouettes and that cover would work.
In other words, the animal on the cover needs to represent the actual animal, real or mythical. So a statue of an animal would not work for example.

If a writer writes under different names, do both of them need to be new to you?"
Depends on how much of a rule follower you are! 😂
Seriously, I am only going to search for the name on the book you read. I don't even know all the different authors and their pseudonyms, so I don't really expect you all to either.

Interesting cover, yes that works.
