Here is the Team Blue Base! Team Blue captain can discuss with the team about the set-up and description of the base. Choose a spot to place your flag. The flag can be hidden, but part of it must be visible. The team can have a max of 2-3 people guarding the flag, or you can come up with a different plan.

Team #2: Team Blue
~Captain - Mazo - Fear
~Abigail - Books
~Kenton - Fog
~Blade - Clarity
~Elijah - Sleep
~Tassian - Portals
~Isabella - Saltwater

Plan: Mazo guards the flag hidden in a really hard to get to place among the trees. Rest hide in wait.

Nvm, probably won't be afk)

Mazo paced around the trees, she was hiding rather well. She used the brush in order to hide, having worn full camo from head to toe. She also brought her paintball gun as it is technically not a weapon, it would make her targets easier to spot.

Adeline | 35 comments I propose we send a group out to scout for the other group's flag. Preferably some people who can draw/take pictures/describe an area really well. Tass has portals that can take them over there as long as he can visualise where he wants to go.
Also have a group guard the flag. People who have sharp senses because the enemy has an invisibility user and a smoke user which probably means low visibility.

Why can't he teleport in and out?)

message 7: by Adeline (new)

Adeline | 35 comments He can, but his powers are limited to places he can visualise. i.e. if he doesn't even know where the flag is then where does he teleport to?

Blade came here, he had already come up with rules that he should follow as to not to get caught. The shy boy wen't over them in his head, preparing for the game. He looked around, not wanting to approach anyone he didn't know. He quietly said "I'd be willing to guard."

message 15: by Thorn (new)

Thorn (thornontherose) | 66 comments "Great." Elijah said. "We have two guards, two people going over, and two undecided." He bounced on the balls of his feet, ready to move.

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

Kenton strolled over, glancing around. He wasn't in an overly great mood, but was actually looking forward to the game. His hands were stuffed in a pair of black jeans, and a white t-shirt covered his chest. He ran a hand through his hair and stared at the other members of his group. "Hey," he said, not sure what he wanted to do.

message 17: by Adeline (new)

Adeline | 35 comments

Tass nodded at the other boy, quickly jotting down his name under the 'Guard' group in the small notebook he held in his hands. "I'll probably stay here too, until you guys scout it out. Anybody have a camera? Just snap a few pictures from a distance of where the flag is held and I can take us straight to it." Fidgeting slightly, he turned his gaze to the sky beyond the trees. He hoped they would be quick before he started wandering off on his own; something that wouldn't be well for a boy who had no skills suited to active capture-the-flag-ing. "If we have to have someone patrolling... Maybe one person is enough? I think we should focus on defense."

Blade closed his eyes for a second, he was calculating what the other teams moves would be. This was sort of like chess, a game of strategy where what you did affected if you won or lost. The other team, depending on what kind of strategy they had could either be a formidable opponant or weak. He also knew that even if they were weak they could still win so he needed to keep his guard up no matter what. but if they were a strategic team then it would be even harder for him to do his job well.

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

Kenton shook his head. "I guess I can... I mean I can make fog," he said, shrugging. "Either here to make it harder for them to see, or over on their side to distract them?" He stared at Elijah bouncing. How does anyone have that much energy? The corner of his mouth turned up slightly. Maybe this will be fun...

Mazo brought over some burner phones. "Call the contact number if you spot their flag. I'll give some movement orders." She said handing all of them a burner and 4 bottles of paint.

message 24: by Thorn (new)

Thorn (thornontherose) | 66 comments Eli looked at Kenton. "Maybe it would serve as a good distraction on their side? Or a decoy base? Because if they saw the fog they would think our flag was being protected by the fog."

"Great idea." She exclaimed with a smile, starting to paint some markings on some trees, dividing their area into sectors. Different symbols meant different things, an arrow meant 3, a circle means 0, etc. She had effectively made a spotting grid. She climbed into a tree that gave her an overview of everything from there to the enemy base.

message 27: by [deleted user] (new)

Kenton nodded at Eli. "Yep. I can do that." He turned to Mazo, who was the captain. "What do you say? Distraction for them, or decoy base?" He nodded at Eli, a slight smile on his face, thanking him for the ideas. This is good...takes my mind off of...you know. Issues and such. He winced, lost in thought.

"Decoy somewhere around 1,4." She said, pointing to a very rocky section that would hopefully distract them for awhile. "The flag will be hard to get to, I'll be in the same grid area." She stated, a grid was perfect for organizing a defense.

Thorn (thornontherose) | 66 comments Eli beamed, glad he could be of help. "So... Mazo, Blade, and Kenton are staying. Tass and I are going to the other team's base," He thought for a moment, trying to remember the list of team members. "Abigail and Isabella. What are they doing?"

message 33: by [deleted user] (new)

Kenton nodded, looking at the area where Mazo had pointed. He accepted the flare the helper gave him, hoping he wouldn't have to use it. He grabbed a backpack and stuffed it in, along with a granola bar, water bottle, and the burner phone. "Let's do this," he said, as he head Mrs. Thelma announce the game had begun.

Mazo pulled out her binoculars, letting her see most movement, however she is unable to spot their flag. Also she has multiple blind spots. If they get within 15 meters she won't be able to maintain a line of sight due to smaller trees. Also the smoke screen with make it harder to determine if anybody is there, that's where the paint comes in, the goal of it is to mark enemy players and also do signals.

"Somebody is in 1, 6, moving at about 4 mph in a relatively straight line." She called out, pointing at the area, it was surprisingly easy to determine where the grids were, bordering on natural features such as ditches, rocks and such, however it made it so that not all grids were equal sized.

"Eli?" Tass called, his quiet voice barely carrying over the others talking. "I hope you have a plan when we get there. I can't really, um, fight." He fell silent for a while, pondering the possibilities. Maybe he could climb a tree? He was good at that. He knew the trees around here like the back of his hand since he'd been around so many times. "I could distract them once I get out of the portal."

message 38: by [deleted user] (new)

Kenton clenched his fists, and waved to his teammates as he headed to the rocky area. "Good luck," he called out. After a few minutes of jogging through the forest, he reached the mound of rocks. Great. Now to climb. He wanted to be near the middle of the rocks, that way he could radiate his power outward. It would look more like the true base, and not use as much energy.

message 39: by [deleted user] (new)

Blade was prepared, he knew that someone would have to come eventually. He had gone through the plan multiple times in his head and he was ready. He turned to mazo, nodded and waited for them to come.

"What are the limits to your abilities? We should plan for the worst case scenario too." Tass knew that there were some scary people on the other end. If they were all clustered together, maybe making all of them fall asleep would work, but chances were they wouldn't be like that. If they went over there to steal the flag, only to have someone suddenly appear, he would possibly lose control of his portals. "My portals will vanish if I'm surprised, and bad things happen if I get really scared."

Thorn (thornontherose) | 66 comments He listen to Tass's explanation. "We just have to keep you calm then. My ethereal requires eye-contact, but it's much stronger with skin-to-skin contact. So if I can get close enough, it's possible I could knock someone out for an hour. Maybe two."

Tass smiled at her small display. "That's really nice!" He hopped off the rock he was squatting off and wandered over to the grass where a few burner phones lay. Flicking one on, he swiped through the apps, and upon confirming it had a camera app, he returned to Isabella. "Quick in, quick out. Try not to get caught. All I need is one photo of the flag - it can be at a distance, but hopefully clear enough so I can imagine myself being there." He held the phone out. "If you're in danger let me know with a picture of your surroundings and I can get you back here."

"Ok, go." Mazo called down, before looking over. She began to draw a map of the area on a paper, she is not that good of an artist but it worked. "Somebody get to 4,6 and pick off the guy who is coming this way.

message 47: by [deleted user] (new)

Kenton grabbed onto the top of one of the rocks and lifted himself up, kneeling on top. He climbed up a few more, careful to avoid the jagged ones. The rocks were slick, but luckily he didn't slip. He reached the top and chose a rock near the center bottom, getting down to lie flat on his stomach. He closed his eyes and focused. Slowly, a thin fog grew over the mound of rocks, growing thicker as he concentrated.

"Excellent." He looked up at Mazo's order, knowing whoever was coming was likely heading towards Kenton's decoy base. Eli picked up a burner phone and called Kenton, planning to warn him of the incoming enemy.

message 49: by [deleted user] (new)

The phone rang, and Kenton jumped, cursing quietly. The fog dissipated slightly, but he clenched his jaw and strengthened it. The strain of holding a fog in place had faded as he used his powers more over the past month, but he could still feel it after a while. Don't get weak now. They're counting on your help. He picked up the phone. "Hey?" he asked, unsure why they were calling so soon.

message 50: by [deleted user] (new)

Blade was not shaken by the fog and noticed even the small details, like footprints or sound like twigs snapping. His ethereal was clarity which allowed him to have an open mind and it was very useful most of the time. He stayed by the flag for a bit longer, then moved towards the edge of the guarding area.
