Hello Katelyn,I might be interested in your services. I've been working on a novel for about 5 years now, currently 58k words, but can focus on first 40k. One of my greatest areas of concern are the first 1-2 chapters are not exciting enough to keep the reader going into the main story thrust. Another is that because of my autism, despite numerous editors attempts to teach me, I am not able to "show, not tell". It's synonymous to my complete inability to create new art, yet I can modify existing art with moderate success.
I'm also working on a shoe string budget after being off work until recently for the past 3 years from an injury, so your $20 price is likely all I can afford. Let's not even go into repair cost for the laptop I was writing my novel on that just died last week.
A quick rundown of my novel:
Title - VY: A Beginning And An End
Genre - Fiction>Dystopian>Erotic/Romance/SciFi
Length - Novel 58k @ 18/25 chapters written
Premise - Engineered virus decimates global male population. Female-dominated government passes Repopulation Law stripping surviving males of most freedoms. Surviving males either agree to follow new law or are sentenced to life in a medical prison where they will be electrically-induced to provide reproductive material.

I think based upon your above description, I can offer constructive feedback on how to hook your reader in the first two chapters, and emphasize action rather than composition and description - eliminating "telling" instead of "showing."
Love your novel's subgenres, and seems you have a very interesting dystopian premise.
