All things chocolate is a great answer! I'm from Maryland and I never knew what a Whoopie Pie was until I moved to PA 6 years ago.

My brother-in-law is from Scotland. I was hoping he would be my excuse to visit extended family, but so far I haven't gotten the chance to go over. I read Outlander in the early 90's way before the popularity. It's one of my favorites to reread. I had to buy a new copy because my original book may fall apart if I touch it.

Savannah is such a beautiful and historic city! St. Simons island is lovely, too. I enjoy historical fiction set in those locations!

I had to look up Docuseries. I have never heard that word before. I am guessing it's mostly about true crimes? I like listening to true crime podcasts. And reading/watching "based on a true story". I did watch something on netflix about a murder that took place very close to where I grew up... too creepy for me. But I'm known for being "delicate". Halloween commercials can scare me.

Black Coffee? That must be some serious damage to your taste buds. Just teasing. My very much the opposite. Mostly creamer and a dash of coffee. Speaking of which- I need to find where I set my mug.

message 65: by Jakob (new)

Jakob Sandahl | 13 comments Yeah docuseries are usually crime-oriented I suppose. I think it's fascinating to hear about people who committed crimes, escaped prisons etc and hear how they appear to have reasoned. Just to think about what people are capable of. What podcasts do you listen to?

(I do occasionally enjoy milky coffee drinks too - my favourite is flat white).

message 66: by Jeni (new)

Jeni | 888 comments Mod
The one I am listening to now is called Serial. It's dated October 3, 2014 about a teen boy being convicted of a murder in 1999. And it's unknown if he is wrongly accused.

On Audible.com I like the podcasts Heists and Gangs.

Those are my only crime podcasts. I like listening to anything related to healthcare, biology, science, books, and old time radio shows like Jack Benny.

I'm starting to get into The Great Courses. College lectures about all sorts of topics- my favorites are DNA and Chromosomes currently.

I have an August birthday too. Once my birthday comes around, the rest of the year is exciting. Birthday, then fall with apple cider and colorful leaves and cooler weather, then Thanksgiving, then Christmas. After that I'm done with it all and can't wait for spring.
