That's a good question. He should have handed them whatever information he had since they were volunteering to help.
This guy was stubborn, lazy and just plain stupid. He knew he wasn’t good at his job so why not partner with these two? It couldn’t hurt and they’d proven themselves already, to his detriment. Unfortunately, I’ve seen too many Sheriff Colgates.
It's almost like they should get rid of the existing Sheriff's office and hire all new. Between corruption and stupidity, they don't have much going for them.
You’re on to something, Robin. King’s years of corruption left its mark, followed by Colgate’s ineptitude. They need to make everyone reapply for their jobs.
They are going to need someone really strong-willed and honest to take over there and clean out the bad apples. I wouldn't want the job.
I agree with the comments above. It was terribly unhelpful for two back-to-back sheriffs to be so inept, for whatever the reasons.
I agree with everyone. Colgate knows he isn't a leader or a decent investigator. It would make more sense to accept Morgan and Lance's help. He is worthless.I wouldn't want that job either. The sheriff won't get any help for any on in a political office. The need to get vote in new people from the mayor on down.
