When Tina Knox returns home from work and finds her husband murdered and son missing, the first call she makes is to Lance Kruger, Evan’s hockey coach. Did you make anything of that at the time? Any suspicions about her?

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I thought it was very odd that you would call your son's hockey coach first and not the police. Yes, she was worried about Evan but the first thing I would think of is that the cops would help find Evan. This was a flag that something was going on with Tina Knox.

I agree, Robin. It made me wonder if she was involved.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1801 comments It was odd. Tina seemed off to me from the start. She didn't appear all that broken up.over her husband's murder. In fact, she this is her attitude for most of the book. It made me feel bad for Paul.

You know, now that you mention it, she never seemed terribly distraught about Paul being murdered. All of her concern was for Evan.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I agree. Tina wasn't torn up over Paul's murder.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments I thought the call she made was odd, and she became more and more odd as the story continued.

Totally! Her actions at the end after Rylee was shot and Lance saved Evan were particularly sociopathic. She is more like her father than she thinks.

Yeah, ice runs through her veins. Not sure how she ended up with Paul.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I agree with you. Who would walk into the scene she found and not call 911 immediately. I can see her calling Lance right after the police but not instead of the police.

Tina doesn't seem to care about her husband much.
