A Series of Unfortunate Events is a series of thirteen novels written by American author Daniel Handler, but he went under the name Lemony Snicket for his books. I remember seeing this book on display at my middle school. I was skeptical about this book that looked older compared to the ones next to it. After searching the aisles for a good book to read I returned empty handed back to the front. That's when I decided to give this book a chance.

It took me a couple of days to finish the first book and sooner than later I was back at the library trying to find the next book in the series. I binge read the whole entire series. I fell in love with the plot and the characters. Each page was better than the next. You never knew what to expect. I love when books can keep me engaged and on my toes. I would rate this series a 5.

A series of books that always managed to both enthrall and make you want to rip your hair out due to the naviety of certain characters. The main characters of Violet, Klaus and Sunny were likable enough kids who had been given hard breaks and I too remember frantically checking out books to get the next one in the series with fondness.
