Review — This was another great installment in this series! There was a lot going on, but it all worked well together to bring about an interesting conclusion and new beginning for Kitty.

Marcus was an immortal and Ami was an Alien the chemistry between the two was combustible. There was drama, intrigue evil vamps, evil black ops that made this book one I couldn't put it down. Definite Recommendation! .

Review:
Shane pretty much loved Rachel from the first moment he saw her when they were 9 years old. As they grew older, their feelings changed from the more platonic love of friendship to romantic love. Except Rachel always wanted to escape their small town. Then one night, Shane hurts Rachel and she leaves. Six years later, Rachel is back in town to look after her mother, who is ill. Even if they don't get a second chance at love, Rachel wants closure on the life she left behind.
This was...pretty good. I think. It's been awhile since I read it (like, 5 whole days), and I remember liking Rachel and Shane together. I think that the way that they found their way back to one another felt believable. I liked the way that they worked on things and while they did do impetuous things, they then thought about the consequences and worked on them.
Quite a few editing issues, and this was 1st person, present tense POV.

Review: I was looking for something fun and different. And this book about a rock band sounded interesting. But boy was I bored! The book started out promising. But went downhill fast for me. I never felt very invested in the characters or story. And the romance didn’t have much heat or tension. Very disappointing!

Review:
Ryan sees a woman on the subway and feels an immediate connection with her. He doesn't know what it is, but he knows that he needs to get to know her. Because he is a graphic designer, he sets up a website to try and find her. Angie finds out about the website, and convinces Ryan to do a piece for the gossip website that she works for to try and reach more people. Traffic to the site goes way up, which may help Angie help her boss make the transition to network television. Ryan starts trending on social media, with some people loving the story, some people thinking it was fake, and some people just not understanding the hype. Through it all, Ryan can't seem to find his mystery woman, but he and Angie get closer, even though they have completely different views on love.
This was enjoyable. It was a little funny to see the switch, with the male character believing in love at first sight and the female lead character being much more cynical and standoffish. I really liked Ryan's and Angie's friends. I did have some issues with Angie's mom, and her insistence that Angie should get back together with her ex. It doesn't matter if you don't know why they broke up, she's a grown woman, and you should respect her decisions. I think my biggest issue was that there was a LOT in internal dialogue from both characters, and then a lot of whining about one event that could have prevented all the over the top drama if they had just let each other finish one sentence each on the morning of the event. There were a few editing issues that I probably wouldn't have noticed if I had been more involved in the story.

Review:
Ciel is back, with her boyfriend Billy, her family, and Mark. While doing a job for Mark, Ciel seems to be recognized as an adaptor by someone who shouldn't be in the know. When adaptors start dying, it's a rush to find out who is doing the killing before Ciel ends up dead.
It's been awhile since I read the previous books in the series, but I remember them being funny. This...wasn't. At least, not to me, right now, in this reading mood. There weren't a lot of shenanigans, which made the other books interesting. This was more about navel gazing than anything else, because the mystery just seemed to flow around the story, not woven into the fabric of it. The important parts were Ciel, what was going on with her and Billy, her family, and everything else was just flotsam. While I agree that all the relationships that Ciel has with the other characters are important, there needed to be something more, for me. If this is the end of the series, and it appears as though it is, since the last book was published in 2016, it ended in a pretty good place for Ciel and everyone. (view spoiler)

Sweet story line, great side characters, lovable main characters with some great depth especially considering the short length of the book. I can't wait to go back and catch up with the other characters in the rest of the series.

Review:
Anyar is a young guard in his country's army. His city has been chosen as a meeting place between his country and the neighbouring one for peace talks, since their countries are always at war. Although many of his countrymen hate, Anyar doesn't. With his different looks and black wings, Anyar catches the attention of the enemy envoy. Vanyae didn't come for peace talks, especially since the enemy wants his country to make all the concessions. He does have a plan to end the warring, and when Anyar catches his attention, Vanyae alters it a little. Along with an important prisoner, Vanyae takes Anyar back to his country and makes him his personal slave. Even though Vanyae treats Anyar nicer than other slaves, Anyar still doesn't have freedom, and as time goes on and different feelings develop between the two, that becomes more and more important to both of them.
I found this to be fairly slow going. As Vanyae's feelings toward Anyar morphed into more than what a master feels for a slave, he started to see what was going on around him with differently. He made personal changes in his treatment of those with less status than he, and effected the treatment by others in his actions. While Anyar appreciated the gentler treatment, he couldn't believe that Vanyae wouldn't grow tired of him and treat him like he had at first, or get rid of him altogether. As a reader, we got to see them together a lot, and not just in bed, but they seemed to be more in their own heads instead of talking to each other, so I'm not sure I completely bought their connection. This wasn't bad, it just didn't blow me away. I enjoyed the slightly different world, with wings being the only thing out of the ordinary, but without feeling the connection and love between Vanyae and Anyar, the story fell a little flat for me. This is my first book by this author, and I'm interested to see if others have the same quality of world building and character building, with a more fleshed out relationship building.

thanks for letting me know!

Review — Not a bad follow up to the first book, but I felt too much of the book repeated what was said in American Queen. Also, while I understand Greer’s point of view was sort of necessary in this book, I wish it was integrated a bit less. We didn’t get any of Ash’s or Embry’s point of view in the first book, so I felt kind of cheated. Quite a few bombshells dropped in the final chapters, so I am eager to complete this trilogy.

Review: This was my kind of romance. A sweet, funny and hot romance. Jace, on the autism spectrum, was confused at times by Angie. That did make me smile. Jace was also doggy sitting and the dog antics made me chuckle too. We get introduced to other members of Jace’s family. And now I definitely want to continue this series!
