Missing and Endangered by J.A. Jance - 4 stars

The latest installment in this series has Joanna Brady dealing with what looks like a domestic violence case that ended in a "suicide by cop" with a dead victim and a deputy shot and in critical condition. The second story arc involves Joanna's daughter Jenny and her college roommate Beth, who ends up being a victim of a cyber "sexploiter".

Jance has come up with another solid story, although I think the title is a little misleading as the "missing" part wasn't really all that long and the "endangered" not so tension-filled as it might suggest. But a good story nevertheless, with good solid characters in the victims and perpetrators. It might have been a bit too easily resolved in my opinion, but I liked the character development. I'm sorry to see Ernie Carpenter retire (not a spoiler since it comes out in the beginning of the book), but I'm looking forward to the development of the new detective and deputy, and maybe having Jenny take a more active role.

There's more than enough family drama in both the victims' stories to qualify this for the tag.
