“Ella's family goes missing when she's drowning herself in the shower and humming a happy tune. She comes out and can't find her family. She reaches down to touch her bracelet which doubles as a lucky charm. Suddenly the jewel on it gets pressed and she finds herself in front of a magnificent castle. She ventures in and is greeted by a really fascinating person whose name I don't know. A phoenix's power gone wrong is really dangerous. They have to resolve it. They talk a little and she is *forced* to go on a mission. With three others who don't seem too kind. The mission starts. They have to trek around the entire land and survive while not hurting anyone. Once that's done, the mission will be over. Everything will be reversed. Except for Ella's path home...

The book blurb. Any thoughts? “

B | 16445 comments Ok, take no offence but um I have some questions...

How is it that Ella never noticed her bracelet had some magical properties before?
What kind of magic is it? Temporary? Permanent? Portable?
How does she appear at the castle randomly? Is it still the same time zone? What place is it? Customs? Traditions?
Is it different from our usual world?
Where does Ella live? Why is ella’s first instinct to touch her bracelet? Is it a memory? Shouldn’t she technically cal the olive when she notices her family is missing?

message 3904: by B (new)

B | 16445 comments Why does Ella agree to the mission? Should her first priority be finding her family?
Why does she agree if she doesn’t even like the people she’s working with?

Niharika✩ (doesitreallymatterpeople) | 16149 comments It's fine...

How is it that Ella never noticed her bracelet had some magical properties before?
The bracelet only works when it is absolutely needed. There is a backstory that will be revealed in the book.

What kind of magic is it? Temporary? Permanent? Portable?
As I said above, the magic is temporary and can show up again if it is needed.

How does she appear at the castle randomly? Is it still the same time zone? What place is it? Customs? Traditions?
In this story, magic has a mind of its own. You can't control it. That jewel turns into a button and when Ella pressed by mistake when she was squeezing it (she thinks some good luck will come out of it) it transports her to a magical island. The button then has no power. Later, when she is out on a mission, it helps her to transform. About customs and traditions, I'll spoil the book. No, the time zones aren't the same. One day in this land is one hour in our world.

Is it different from our usual world?
In a lot of ways. I CAN'T SPOIL THE BOOK!

Where does Ella live? Why is Ella's first instinct to touch her bracelet? Is it a memory?
In this world. Technically Singapore. As I said in the blurb, it doubles into a lucky charm. And she squeezes it to get some luck. It was a birthday gift that has been passed down to each generation on the ninth birthday. She's gotten into the habit of doing it.

Shouldn’t she technically cal the olive when she notices her family is missing?
She probably would, but she was transported to the magical land right after she came out of the shower, remember?

Why does Ella agree to the mission? Should her first priority be finding her family?
Because she was told that there was no other way of freeing her family from the Pheonix's clutches.

Why does she agree if she doesn’t even like the people she’s working with?
She doesn't know that she'll be working with these people. They were introduced after she agreed to the mission. And besides, it's not like she had a choice in the matter!

B | 16445 comments Ok, i just based my questions out of what’s been given.
If it’s explained then no problems! :)

So she gets transported the moment she’s out of the shower?

When she figures out her family is missing, she would technically look for them around the house, squeeze her bracelet and poof! transported!

Aww thank you so much. That’s so nice of you. ♥️
I don’t think it has anything to do with popularity, more like luck. Sometimes I don’t find buddy’s either.
And I compiled my tbr, so that definitely helped!
I’m so happy you like my writing and reviews. :)
