I have read Heidi and Alice in Wonderland (I'm stupid I never counted them in classics). What I have heard about classics is that there are lots of english words which are not used these days so I think that might be a problem because I already hate Shakespeare's work and struggle a lot with it. So what's your opinion? Should I read one?

Ooh I didn’t know you’d read those classics already! In that case I’d recommend starting with Austen, possibly sense and sensibility. Her writing is a bit hard but not as hard as Shakespeare. Also I think you should read the audiobooks and simultaneously read the copies. That would help. :)

yeah but "not like other girls" is generally a cultural thing where people seemingly want to compliment a girl by making her stand out. however, they mostly say "not like other girls" because they've seen her do or say something intelligent, intellectual, sophisticated or whatever. things that are by society's standards not connected with women. so, they assume that this one girl/woman is different. but actually they are conditioned to believe that women are vain, 2 dimensional creatures. all women are 3 dimensional people with intellect and thoughts, though. which is why "not like other girls" is incredibly misogynistic at its core
