It's adult so I'm hesitant in picking it up as it's supposedly very brutal
i loved the book, it's extremely good and one of my favorites. but it is very violent, at times it's quite graphic and in general it's very dark. may i ask how old you are? because i think you shouldn't be too young to read the book. also you should definitely check all the trigger warnings.
I'm 14 I think I'm too young to read this

yeah i think so too. it would be better to wait some time. you could read some other, less brutal adult books in the meantime to get to know the genre a bit and when you're feeling ready, you can come back to the poppy war :)
