yea, my parents are kind of like that :/ tho I think they would support me doing arts if I convinced them that I was really serious about it. My parents say that they don't mind whatever I become as long as i can support myself and I like my job. Tho, I think they would prefer if I became a scientist, mathematician, or a pianist. They weren't very happy when I was younger and brought up the idea of being a dancer. I'm less keen on the idea of being a dancer now tho even though I love dance. Currently, I want to be an astronomer, writer, or a journalist when I'm older, that could change tho.

And Mrunal, there's no worry taking arts. (its humanities in our school) Arts is awesome. My mind is on humanities only right now.

And there is one book, Gently falls the Bakula, by Sudha Murty. I was reminded of that book. Because that girl is a 10th state topper or something and she took Arts.

Actually, I’m a very slow reader 👀
I read like by line as I’m very critical, so I take my time. However, I read several books at once, which is why I’m faster that way! :)

Ahh you're taking arts! I'll be choosing subjects next year (I'm currently in 10th), and I really wanna pursue english or psychology or sociology. And I don't wanna take science at all because I don't think that's the life I want. My mom wants me to be a doctor, but I'm not interested. She thinks the subjects I choose to pursue are for the "weak". I'm by no means weak in studies and score quite well. But I'm really confused right now as to whom I should listen to.

i took 2 arts&humanities subjects and 2 science&math subjects for A-Levels and i completely agree with you. Art&Humanities is NOT easy and some may find it even harder than Science subjects. it takes a lot to be able to master humanities subjects. its definitely not for the weak, if anything, people should go for scientific subjects if they arent talented in humanities bc science subjects u can get better at, with practice! not so much with arts&humanities, in my opinion! follow your heart, this is your life to live <3

Luckily, my parents support my decision even though some distant relatives think that I'm being a coward for not taking science LiKe ThEiR sOn but I don't care because I'm happy.
