Same here. I think that also has to do with glitchreads though. I haven't been getting any notifications when someone reviews/rates something which used to happen

Thank you!
I don't think you're reviews are bad, plus it takes me an hour or so too. 💖

Same. But these days the notification issue is getting better.

Thank you <33
I'm working on it. Maybe I was overexaggerating.
I'm pretty busy these days so I don't have much time to write them but in the summer I'm going to be hopefully writing a lot more :)

ikr same
glitchreads is soo annoying
Bhavya wrote: "So I was curious, would you'll consider my reviews 'professional'? 🤔"i think your layout and structure as well as your well-formed thoughts could be considered professional. i mean there are probably parts here and there that might not be, but in general i would say yes

thank you!!
my reviews are the literal opposit of professional
opposite not whatever I wrote
coherence and articulate thoughts

Marie wrote: "hmm what do you guys think are the criteria for a professional review?"I don't think so...each reviewer can make theirs as they want to review it
Yeah. Actual sentences are nice too (not that I ever have any) It's also nice to have separate sections (ex. The Writing, The Characters, The Plot)

That's ok. Good luck on writing them! :)

Oooh thanks. I want to try to make them more professional. Any feedback? :)
Navya wrote: "coherence and articulate thoughts"I agree. And maybe trying to keep the discussion limited to critiquing the book and not saying anything about the author?
Also, having examples to prove all your point sis important.

Definitely! Using quotes and specific examples is always a good thing. I think it's also important not to make your points personal to the author and not let some bias get into the way of how you actually feel about the book. You can hate the author but love the book
Lorelei wrote: "Yeah. Actual sentences are nice too (not that I ever have any) It's also nice to have separate sections (ex. The Writing, The Characters, The Plot)"
Agreed.

I agree with this as well. :)
I try to implement this, but I do not know if I succeeded.

i mean idk whether i'm qualified to tell you how to write professional reviews since i don't consider mine as professional, but what i noticed in your ruin and rising review (which is fantastic by the way) were that you use lots of quotes. they are great but too many of them can disturb the reading in my opinion.
other than that, maybe avoid one sentence paragraphs (something my teachers always tell me haha).
oh and the gifs are phenomenal and please continue using them, but i guess they wouldn't be seen as professional haha :)

Aah yes. I am obsessed with using quotes in reviews, but you are right. A lot can disturb the reading.
I should cut the number down next time, but books have such beautiful quotes that I am very tempted to use (●'◡'●)
I love gifs! I guess they reduce the 'professionalism', but well I like using them so...

I like the gifs. I think they add a necessary levity to some reviews. Being professional is finding the balance between humor and monotonous disasters

Definitely!! It's much more professional than my review of COI which is just me freaking out about the characters

I get annoyed too. I just ignore if they don't answer these days, otherwise I will hit the friend limit very soon... I am already close to 500 and I joined gr only 4 moths ago.
