Elisabeth (Bets) (livingforjesus) Just curious, who was the creator of this group? I see some topics were started by deleted user and i was just curious who actually founded the group. And how long ago?

Elisabeth, great question! You're the first to comment on that ;)

I'm guessing this group was started on February 23rd, 2021, because that's when the profile photo was uploaded and the introduction thread was made. I was invited to the group and joined in April of 2021 (wow, basically 2 years ago!), so some members have actually been here longer than I have. I wasn't very active then. I think someone named Natalie created the group, and at one point I think there was another mod, Charlotte.

For whatever reason, Natalie deleted her account and Charlotte stepped down from being a mod. The group was inactive for a few months, until somebody commented in the chat box, saying that there was no mod. I was like, "Huh, that seems kind of sad..."

I thought about it for a couple of months, and then since there was no mod I made myself mod and started up the group again. It was pretty cool, watching the group grow from 250 ish inactive members to the group it is today:)

Elisabeth (Bets) (livingforjesus) That's cool! So you're essentially the owner now :)

So if a group doesn't have any mods you can make yourself mod? That's interesting.

Haha, you could say that:)

Yeah, you can! There are a couple of groups that I'm in that are "modless" :(

Elisabeth (Bets) (livingforjesus) That’s sad. There’s on group I’m in that I wish was modless. There’s one mod who hasn’t been on in 10 years and the group needs some organization and cleanup bad.

Not to trying to barge into your conversation but this is why I am very picky about people being inactive. Yes I understand that we have different time zones and stuff going on in real life but for people to join and never make a single comment and don’t socialize at all is very frustrating. I try to keep up on making this group as active as I can and try and make sure my responsibilities as a Mod are done. I mean, yes I do have stuff going on in real life, but I least hop on here and comment.

Elisabeth (Bets) (livingforjesus) Ok to be fair that group that I was talking about is not a social group. It’s called Clean Reads. There’s just a lot of old threads that could be archived if someone was mod on there. I’m not upset at the owner, I’m just wishing there was some way to make myself mod on there.

She hasn’t been on GR for years so it’s not like she’s just avoiding that group. And there are over 1,000 members so it’s a very helpful group. I’m glad she started it.

I’m sure if you ask if you can be a mod of that group they’d let you I mean I can tell you how to do it, but you have to have a laptop or computer to do it

message 59: by Elisabeth (Bets) (new)

Elisabeth (Bets) (livingforjesus) I sent her a friend request but she’s not been on GR in years. You mean if I ask the group? Is there a way to become mod even if there’s already a mod?

Yes, like I said, you have to do it on a laptop, though you are not gonna be able to do it from a phone version so if you want, I can tell you how to do that. But if she hasn’t been active in a few years, then you becoming a mod shouldn’t make a difference to the mods that are currently there does that make sense.

Jessica Okay guys, I just finished reading Powerless and idk whether to continue and read Reckless or give my heart a break and read something new.

Mainly, if Reckless has a cliffhanger that leaves me churning my brain that I’m gonna be so impatient waiting for the next book to come out (next year 😔)

So give me opinions!! I am not really interested in reading the novella.

I actually loved the novella since it gives more context as to what happened during the trials in Powerless from another povs but I can understand you not wanting to read it right away since it is sad. I did also read Reckless and while you get a lot of moments between Paedyn and Kai, I do have to say it does end on a pretty big cliffhanger so I can understand if you want to wait until we’re closer to the third book coming out because I have no idea how I’ll survive until then lol

I would recommend reading the Caraval/OUABH series, Divine Rivals, The Inheritance Games and maybe The Reappearance of Rachel Price if you like mystery/thrillers :)
