The movie “Catch Me If You Can” directed by Steven Spielberg is a Crime/Drama plotline where an FBI agent makes it his life’s mission to capture a well-known con-artist. Frank Abagnale Jr. was a 16-year-old runaway, who used his observation skills to trick people for a living. This known criminal disguises himself as a doctor, a lawyer, a co-pilot, and many others all before he turned 18. He would travel throughout the whole United States from California to New York. Frank became successful in forging $2.5 million worth of checks before he was caught by the police at age 21 in France.
Fun fact this movie was based on the true story of Frank William Abagnale Jr. and an FBI consultant who was initially credited for bank fraud. Tom Hanks plays the popular bureau agent, while Leonardo DiCaprio plays the main character, Frank. “Catch Me If You Can” was nominated for Critics’ Choice Movie Award for Best Picture, BAFTA Award for Best Original Music, along with Edgar Award for Best Motion Picture Screenplay. I would rate this movie a 4.5, with its amazing directions in keeping me on my toes throughout the whole film.
I remember my dad used to spamwatch show this movie to me as a kid. Overall a good performance from DiCaprio, managing to make us feel sorry for the real Abarngale. Tom Hanks manages to both captivate and amuse us. '' Barry Allen '' lol. Solid review and I agree with the rating.
