Taming of the Shrew

This is a classic! I'm not a huge Shakespeare fan myself, but I found this play was awesome! The concept of a play within a play was intriguing. Not only this, but a comedy was a nice change in terms of literature. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it was a little hard to read. However, with No Fear Shakespeare and the footnotes in the book, you should be fine to figure it out. The hardest part was keeping up with all the characters. I would also recommend watching the movie "10 Things I Hate About You" if you enjoyed this play.

I honestly hated this play, but loved how there was a play within a play. I can see the humor, I can see the plot devices and how they can be endearing, but I wanted to curb-stomp almost every single character. I usually enjoy most plays, most novels, and most stories but dear Lord!!!
