This was a well-constructed world that pulls from lots of mythology and local lore and I LOVED it. What a great balance of witch/demon and good/evil! Not something that all my teens would love but those that are into the Supernatural/Fantasy stuff will definitely vibe with this book!

Strong characters, a caring family, mystery, magic, adventure, all the elements that I would have wanted in a book as a teen. The only downside is that it is not a stand alone book so the reader will have to be willing to read the rest of the series. 5/5

7/5!!! I absolutely loved this book. The characters had layers, were well written and easy to enjoy. The story left me wanting more, and going online to see about a preorder. This will be on my shelf, with room for the next books in series.
