I honestly have only seen the movie so far. I'm not a huge fan of John Green's writing style so I'm worried that I won't love the book as much as I loved the movie

Saw the movie first. After I liked it I've hunted Green's books down from the thriftstore, but have yet to read any of them.

Unpopular opinion here. I did not like the book sadly. Movie though I liked it better.

I loved the movie and then it made me read the book which I still enjoyed. I've read two John Green books, this and Looking for Alaska, and liked both. So far his writing style has been good with me. I have the Katherines book sitting in a pile for me to read.
