Chris Haught (haughtc) | 916 comments Post here if you are currently reading our October selection, The Blade Itself.

Sarah I started it yesterday. About halfway through...

Chris Haught (haughtc) | 916 comments I started early this week, but haven't made as much progress as you, Sarah. I'm really enjoying it, but time has been an annoying issue....maybe this weekend I can pick up the pace some.

Sarah I'm enjoying it so far as well, though I think it doesn't seem to go in a certain direction yet. maybe it's just because many different characters need to be introduced.
BTW, how much progrees have you made?

Chris Haught (haughtc) | 916 comments I'm on page 160, at the beginning of the chapter, "A Road Between Two Dentists."

Not sure how much progress I'll make today. It's pretty hectic here...

Sarah Oh! Yes! I remember that chapter. anyway, I hope you find the time to read anytime soon.
BTW, am I the only one who thinks Glokta slightly resembles Tyrion from ASOIAF?

Sandi (sandikal) I have it, but haven't started it. I need to get through some library books first.

Same with me. Really want to read it though.

meleah (meleahreads) I finally got my hands on a copy - should be starting it this week (I hope!)

Cody (snakewind) Are the book only available in Hardback Cover or is it there paperback available?

Sandi (sandikal) I have it in trade paperback. I don't think it's in mass market yet.

It's interesting you should ask this question because while I was reading this book I kept thinking 'that's an ejoyable read but I can't really figure out what's happening, like there's no purpose to anything'
only in the end some actual story started to form.
So it's really hard to say precisely what the book is about.

Stephen light Ok thanks ill give it a shot.

Robin (robinsullivan) | 629 comments Woohoo - So glad to have a new book to read again - I've been "away" because I lost my day job and well...I like to eat...and the bank likes their mortgage payments so I was heads down interviewing etc. Now that I've landed a job, and hubby's third book is out I can start reading again - Good month to be back. I'm excited!

Jon (jonmoss) | 529 comments Robin - so sorry to hear you lost your job, but very very happy that you landed one again. Prayer answered before I had a chance to pray it. :)

Glad to have you back among us. You were missed!

Spuddie | 3 comments I read this back in March, I think--I really liked it, I remember that--but having read at least a hundred books since then, I'm short on remembering details. LOL I do have the second one in the series here and plan on getting to that one soon.
